Plans for the 2023 Louisiana Forest Festival are now underway. This year’s festival will be held April 21st and 22nd at the Winn Parish Fairgrounds. This is your invitation to participate in promoting Winn Parish and the timber industry. The Louisiana Forest Festival is happy to work closely with The Louisiana Loggers Association to educate and promote our industry in the state. As in the year’s past, proceeds raised are used to support the Winn Parish 4-H program, forestry awareness for children, scholarships to seniors in Winn Parish, Forest Festival pageant, and a fun-filled family day for all. Forestry is the number one industry for Winn Parish, and the number one Ag crop in the State of Louisiana. It is important to promote and stimulate the industry for not only the economic well-being of Winn and surrounding parishes, but also for the state as a whole.

 

This year’s festival will offer a variety of activities, which includes, forestry exhibits, log loading contest, skidding contest, a forestry awareness day for children (held on Friday the 21st), 4-H woodsman skills, professional timber sports, arts and crafts vendors, food vendors, wood carving contest, and other activities for adults and children. Our Friday night kickoff will be held at the amphitheater. Also, we will be recognizing our queens, logger of the year, and our scholarship winners during the kickoff. (Food vendors will be available during kickoff) On Saturday we will host our 2nd annual crawfish cook off!

 

In order to make our festival a success, we are asking for donations from businesses. Any support you could give would be greatly appreciated! We have an array of sponsorship packages; please see the attached form for options. Each level of advertisement will offer increased exposure for your business. Although, we offer certain sponsorship packages, we are grateful for any donation. If you are planning on making a donation, please have them in by March 3rd to insure your company name on the back of the shirt.
